CySEA designed and institutionalised the educational programme “Creative Partnerships – Artists in Schools”, which was implemented between the years 2014 and 2024. This was a pioneering and innovative initiative for Cypriot education, as it represented the first organised effort that encouraged and supported the formation of partnerships between public educational institutions and artists in Cyprus. The aim was to enrich children’s learning experiences and to foster their creative thinking and expression.
The Programme offered:
- Theoretical training for teachers and artists to prepare and equip them for designing and implementing successful collaborative projects
- Support and guidance for participants from the CPI’s scientific team on matters of planning, organisation, and evaluation
- Coverage of artists’ fees for their participation in the Programme
- Opportunities for showcasing the collaborative projects that were carried out
A total of 26 pre-primary and primary schools from across Cyprus participated in the Programme.
Programme sponsors:
Cultural Services / Deputy Ministry of Culture
Pancyprian Organisation of Greek Teachers (POED)
Parents’ Association of Adults with Intellectual Disabilities “Apostolos Loukas”
